Actor | Producer | Writer | Web Designer | Creative
I finally have a moment to sit down and do something non-work related, so I thought I’d fill all you wonderful people out there in on what I’ve been up to lately.
Lately I have been super blessed with Graphic Design/ Web Design work, so I have been working away quite diligently. I currently have 5 different web projects on my plate at the moment, which is really wonderful to have, though it can be a bit overwhelming at times. I always try to remember what my boss, Julie Churchich, said at my old summer job at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage when times get tough like this. She said, “It’s just another challenge God has put before me.” She would just look at it head on and tackle it and I loved her for that. She is a very inspirational person.
Speaking of inspirational people, several weeks ago, I was so incredibly fortunate to met an inspiration of mine while volunteering at the La Femme Film Festival. While I was there, I saw Jenna Fischer (Pam Beasley of “The Office”). She was a huge inspiration to me when I made my move to Cali. I took the chance to tell her how she inspired me and she stopped and engaged in conversation with me for about 5 minutes or so. She is a very genuinely kind person!
I have also been doing some interning work with Casting Director Rick Pagano from time to time. Being able to get in the casting room and see some of the choices that actors in Los Angeles are bringing to the table is invaluable and I learn a lot. Through experiences like this, I am really getting to know some wonderful people that are very knowledgeable of the industry. They are really great!
Furthermore, I have been taking class…a lot of them. I take Meisner training on Wednesday and Saturday. I study improv at iO West on Thursdays, and occasionally I take improv classes at Monkey Butler on Mondays.
Recently I also got involved in a comedy play called the One Night Stands One Acts, written and directed by Paul Storiale. They are very funny and it has been a great experience to work on my comedic acting. Comedy is so fun!
Here is a question for all of you folks tuning in our there. I am contemplating cutting my hair short and getting new headshots. I’m posting my current look and a former look of mine to try to get your feedback. What are your thoughts?
Of course the first one is more professional of a picture. But just take a look at the hair styles and let me know your thoughts.
All the best folks!
Sincerely,
Bryan McClure
PS- If you haven’t noticed, my new demo reel is up on the site and I have extended clips on my youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/bryanmcclure.

I like the longer hair better but hey, if you cut it off it can easily grow back.

Like a more shaven, long hair look, on one hand and maybe a shorter, think senior picture length, on the other. Does your agent have any input on this? Think both would be perfect. Demo real looking really good!
